Sam Gowdy has been compared to a 70’s Don Henley, an 80’s Bon Jovi, and a 90’s George Strait, but his music is both timeless “old-school” country and current Texas Songwriter.  You have heard that every song has a story, but Sam believes that every story has a song, and that attitude is evident in his lyrics.  Everyone will find at least one song on the album that speaks to them, because Sam writes about his own life stories, and captures the raw emotion that is common in the human experience, and paints those stories with his own brand of country soul.
